Welcome
We are delighted to welcome you and your family as members of our school community and look forward to a happy and successful relationship that supports your child to be the very best that they can be.
We are a larger than average primary school sitting on the edge of Kidderminster. Our previous Ofsted inspections are graded as 'Good' and we are constantly striving to offer the very best education for our children. Our intent statement captures our whole school aim:
Our role at Comberton is to spark curiosity, creating a world of opportunity, awe and wonder for our children and staff. We aim to equip our children with the knowledge, skills and values to lead productive, healthy and inspired lives in modern day Britain.
Our standards, expectations and aspirations are high; as a staff we have developed clear aims and I would like to take this opportunity to share them with you so that you can support us in working towards these.
Our Aims…
-
To offer a safe, happy, inclusive, caring and stimulating learning environment in which children, staff and parents are respected and respect one another.
-
To encourage effective and collaborative partnerships within and between: the school; our parents; governors and the wider community.
-
To ensure that all children are supported and challenged to reach their potential, both academically and socially, providing opportunities to nurture and encourage their talents and skills.
-
To provide children with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world both within and beyond the EYFS and National Curriculum.
-
To enrich the curriculum with a wealth of experiences and fun opportunities which provide positive memories of primary school.
-
To develop self-motivated, reflective learners who persevere when faced with problems, show determination to succeed and develop a lifelong love of learning.
-
To develop children’s knowledge and understanding of their place in the world and their rights and responsibilities within it, actively promoting fundamental British values.
-
To encourage the spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development of our pupils so that they develop respect and tolerance for cultural and religious diversity regarding people of all faiths, races and cultures equally.
We are proud of our school and the team of pupils, staff, parents, volunteers and governors who work tirelessly to ensure our children enjoy school and relish their learning. Education at its best stems from a partnership between parents, children and staff and we are committed to achieving the highest possible standards and academic outcomes for our pupils as well as providing a range of enriching experiences that contribute to the wider personal development of our children.
If you would like to arrange a visit to our wonderful school then please contact the school office where we would be delighted to show you around.
Best Wishes
