Anti-bullying

We were part of the United Against Bullying Programme (UAB) 2022-2023 which focused on developing best practice in school in order to eradicate bullying.

It covered the following areas:

  • School Leadership
  • School Policy
  • Data Collection and Evidence
  • Prevention
  • Responding and Intervention
  • Staff Training and Development
  • At Risk Groups

We are very proud to announce that we have been awarded SILVER SCHOOL STATUS for our work around this. 350 schools took part in this during 2022-23 and 2% achieved Gold, 14% Silver and 72% Bronze.

Our school was selected to share one of our case studies about how we organise play times in order to make these safe and happy for all children.  This was shared at the United Against Bullying Conference in November 2023.

We will be continuing to embed the initiatives we have been developing over the past year to ensure that Anti-Bully remains high priority at Comberton.

This includes:

  • Development of Well-Being Champions
  • Continuation of structured play
  • Involvement of parents and wider stakeholders
  • Development of Pupil Voice
  • Strength of the curriculum
  • High profile events such as Anti-Bullying Week, Online Safety Week, Kindness Week and World Mental Health day
  • Targeted support through interventions such as Circle of Friends

Zero-tolerance
