Hello from Mrs Wassell and Mrs Ilyas.

Firstly, we want to start by saying we hope you are all safe and well.  As you will already know, we are the  Year 4 teachers and Mrs Price, Miss Knight, MIss Gribben and Miss Gallagher Harris are the teaching assistants.  Mrs Astill will be the children''s  French teacher.  We have been busy preparing our new classrooms and planning all of the interesting and exciting things we will be learning.

We are very excited to be based in the downstairs of our new building this year.  We will meet the children on the bottom playground in the mornings when the bell sounds.

As the children now have their own locker, we ask that you support us with ensuring we maximise the space as much as possible. Therefore, we are asking that you only bring a coat and that anything else is brought in a drawstring bag (lunch box and reading book and record).

We will be having PE on a Thursday and you will need to come into school in your full school PE kit on this day each week.

There will be a couple of things you will need to bring to school with you: your packed lunch and your reading journal.

Your homework each week is to complete 30 minutes on TT Rockstars (it is best to do this in small chunks throughout the week) and read at least three times per week.  We will check that you have practised your times tables and that your reading journal has been signed three times by an adult.

Lastly, we expect you to always try your very best and make good behavioural choices. We always try to plan interesting lessons and opportunities for you so you need to attend well, be an enthusiastic learner and always be respectful to others.

Key Information

  • You will need to come dressed in your PE kit on Thursdays.
  • KIRFS - Practise your KIRFS each week.
  • In the Summer term there will be a Year 4 multiplication test and you should practise your times tables regularly.
